Thermal Performance:

Eigr’s illumination system includes an optical waveguide, an optimally matched fiber optic cable and retractor or surgical tool for less invasive procedures.  It stays cool throughout a procedure while being connected to a standard surgical light source.  The control of thermal spread onto a target allows normal thermal operating conditions for the patient as well as the surgeon and staff eliminating overheating of the surgical environment.

Eliminates shadows and glare:

Eigr enabled illumination instruments are engineered to bring light into corners, crevices and cracks where conventional light options cannot reach. Shadows and glare are eliminated due to the unique design of the Eigr system.

Efficiency

The proprietary design of the optical waveguide as well as utilization of a novel polymer allows the Eigr illumination system to deliver light very efficiently onto a target.

Low profile:

All Invuity products are designed to be low profile.  The optical waveguide is embedded in the devices to reduce intrusion onto the surgical field. 

Improved ergonomics:

Eigr illumination enables surgeons to operate without the neck strain typically caused by wearing a headlight or a using a microscope.
